Overview
Unlike the rest of the Appzo toolkit, the metadata editor reads and writes tags with ExifTool on the server, so it handles the full EXIF, IPTC, and XMP standards. Your image is processed in a private temporary location and removed after the session — it is never stored permanently or shared.
What this tool does
The metadata editor reads the tags embedded in your image with ExifTool, lays them out in a form grouped by purpose — SEO, keywords, creator, copyright, GPS, dates, and more — and writes your edits back into the file. Keywords and subjects are saved as proper tag lists, GPS and rating values are stored as numbers, and the file is re-read after every save so you always see what actually landed on disk.

How to use it

Upload your image
Drag and drop a JPG, PNG, WEBP, or TIFF, or click to browse. ExifTool reads the file and fills the form with whatever metadata it already contains.

Review the existing tags
The 'All metadata' panel lists every tag found in the file. Use it to confirm what's there before you change anything.

Edit the fields
Update any field — title, keywords, copyright, GPS, dates, rating, comments. Keywords and subjects take comma-separated values; ratings use 1 to 5 stars.

Save and download
Click Save Metadata to write your changes with ExifTool, then download the updated image. The form reloads from the saved file so you can verify the result.

ExifTool wrote the new IPTC and XMP fields without touching the original pixels, so the photo is unchanged but now carries the metadata a stock library or CMS expects.

Dates use EXIF formatting
Enter dates as YYYY:MM:DD HH:MM:SS — for example, 2026:06:21 10:00:00.
Keywords are comma-separated
Type keywords separated by commas; each one is saved as its own tag in the file.
